The resolution of the Delegation in Malaga of the Regional Ministry of Sustainability and Environment of the Andalusian Regional Government on May 8th, gives the green light to the Hotel Torre del Puerto Project in Málaga, allowing the definitive approval of the Specific Modification of the Special Plan of the Port where the proposal is included
In this administrative resolution it is worth highlighting some of its environmental justifications, mainly in the section where it is stated that “in the case of this project, as there are many other elements of the same nature, this new element would be an additional increase in the situation of high transformation…, the loss of biodiversity is not something that will have a very significant impact due to the specific modification, as the variety of flora and fauna does not have a high ecological value as it is in a highly anthropised environment”.
In terms of its repercussions on the landscape, the resolution states that “the proposed action does not affect any other Asset of Cultural Interest or its protected environment. No visual or perceptive contamination is observed, given that it does not impede or distort the contemplation of the other Sites of Cultural Interest existing in the area of the Historical Complex of Malaga, being located at a considerable distance from it. Consequently, a feasibility report should be issued”.
